Homeplug – Networking via Power Lines
Feb 2nd
When wired networking is not possible or too cumbersome and wireless is also not an option, you have another solution – Homeplug. The plug has a Ethernet connector on the bottom and plugs into the wall, you need another one plugged into say your wall/router to them transfer the signal. To summerise a simple set up then – you plug into the wall a homeplug and connect a wire to your router or switch and then on the other end (say in another room of course) you plug in your appliance Ethernet into the other homeplug and thus into the wall – you now have fast networking (depending on which model you buy).

Dino PC – The continued story
Jan 30th
I wish to write about my sister dealing so far with this company, you can find them HERE and they go by the name of Dino PC. I already wrote about this before in my previous story but we ask, what has happened since? Is my sister now a happy end user of a fast and cheap desktop pc and was my shouts of “go to Dell” all wrong?
Ustream Producer
Jan 29th
Ustream have finally released there butchered version of wirecast which works only on Ustream. To put this in a nutshell, Wirecast is a $450 piece of software that works like a software tricaster and looks like they have been working with Ustream to make a version just for them. The Free version works better then the Test version of Wirecast, no annoying “This is a test” or Watermark and the pro version basically is Wirecast but for $199 cost – that’s half the price.
